Hot on the heels of the success of his previous single "So Hard to Be Happy", which received BBC Radio 6 airplay, Carl Finlay has announced the release of his next single, "Message to the Dreamer" and his debut album, Follow the Moon.
An eclectic mix of folk – drawn from his Irish roots, combined with rock and reggae influences, Carl conveys raw emotion, positivity and enlightenment through his music. He studies mankind’s ideologies through his intricate style of musical storytelling, and with tracks such as "Message to the Dreamer," divulges an upbeat, positive word to the wise.
His current "Mercury" however, has a much more sombre tone, a beautiful song about a lost love that truly touches the heart. Featuring mellow beats accompanied by Finlay’s unique vocals, "Mercury" is the perfect track to help you through the chilly transition from winter to spring. It’s available now for a free download: https://carlfinlay.bandcamp.com/releases

Working with the prestigious Rupert Cobb (The Killers, Muse, Massive Attack, Paul Simon) who played a key role in mastering the album, Carl’s new album is an insightful delight for the ears that is not to be missed!
"Message to the Dreamer" the single is due for release March 16th, followed by the Follow the Moon album on March 30th.

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Winter weather pouring in from the north shut down much of the country last week, including Nashville ... but it's clearing just in time for another Canadian force of nature to take its place. The CMA's Global Artist of the Year, Gord Bamford, will be in Music City this week for CRS 2015, meeting with top programmers and readying a U.S. launch for the 19-time Canadian Country Music Association winner.
With his first-ever U.S. single release planned for spring, Bamford's presence at Country Radio Seminar will continue to fulfill a stateside rollout teased throughout 2014. And while he earned rave reviews for a limited number of engagements last year, gatekeepers and audiences are about to find out just how special he is.
Reaching out to people in need is not something Bamford does for recognition, however. It's just part of who he is. With recent donations of $50,000 to children's charities in Canada (Make-A-Wish, Ronald McDonald House and music education among them) and $80,000 in contributions to children's hospitals planned with the launch of his 2015 tour. Bamford and his seven-year-old charitable foundation are making a substantial positive impact.
His marriage of music and children's causes has benefited music, education, health, sports and other organizations that focus on kids. Bamford's annual charity golf tournament has raised more than $2 million and is only one of the many philanthropic endeavors. "Music has that special power to take a child away from whatever they might be experiencing at that moment in time," Gord says. "I've seen it first-hand on my visits to children's hospitals over the years. I'm so grateful to be in the position to continue to help support such worthwhile organizations and hospitals all across Canada."

(February 24, 2015 -- Nashville, TN) ”Make You Mine,” the fastest selling song in duo High Valley’s history, has released to country radio based on fan demand. With over 63,000 total tracks sold from their recently released County Line album, including a 69% increase in digital downloads for “Make You Mine,” the song is making huge waves with country fans! It has been chosen to feature in the iTunes Country Store and on Beats Music. The video, directed by Roger Pistole (Dierks Bentley, Lee Ann Womack), can be seen HERE.
“We’ve had an amazing response to the song – we grew up on country and bluegrass music and this feels like the song we were born to sing,” said High Valley lead singer Brad Rempel. “Our fans have been big supporters, seeking out the song on YouTube and iTunes.”
Shipping nationwide to radio last week, “Make You Mine” is being shepherded by The Talent Associates, the radio team led by John Ettinger and Ryan Barnstead.
“Make You Mine” features a guest appearance by bluegrass icon Ricky Skaggs. It’s written by High Valley’s Brad Rempel with Ben Stennis and Seth Mosley. With lyrics that evoke the Canadian-born siblings’ homegrown values of family, faith and farming, “Make You Mine” depicts the butterflies and beauty of true love:
“You’re hallelujah Sunday morning
All I’ve ever needed, wanted
Underneath this pale blue sky
I’m going to make you mine
Yeah I’m going to make you mine”
High Valley is an unsigned, independent artist in the US. The single appears on High Valley’s recently released album, County Line, available now on iTunes. Lead singer Brad Rempel co-wrote nine of the ten tracks on the duo’s debut disc. The talented songwriter also co-wrote the moving “I Remember You” on Trisha Yearwood’s recent CD, Prize Fighter.
Brothers Brad (lead vocals, acoustic guitar) and Curtis Rempel (harmony vocals, mandolin) make up High Valley. The sibling duo initially found inspiration in the music of country music icons Alabama, Rascal Flatts, Diamond Rio and Shenandoah while growing up listening to their older sisters’ records. After seventeen years of touring and opening for the likes of superstars Shania Twain, Little Big Town and Alan Jackson in their northern homeland, Canadian CMA Awards Interactive Artist of the Year winners High Valley have made their U.S. debut with the release of their full-length album,County Line!
